Impressive water vapor satellite image of the cold drop stagnating off Portugal at the beginning of this week.

This one is acting as a heat pump this week and brings us very (too) high temperatures until next week.

The anatomy of our looming heatwave...

The cut-off low spinning to the west of Portugal is helping intensify the heat over Moroccos & Iberia as we speak.

This feature will essentially act like Europe's heat pump.
